What’s your favorite cartoon?
On this occasion, I want to confess that I’m still watching cartoons. Well, these shows are pedagogically highly valuable, no matter how old you are.
I have two favorites:
One is the Looney Tunes Cartoons, which contains many different series, and my favorite is The Road Runner, mik mik. No matter how many times I’ve watched the coyote sillily failing with its endless attempts to catch the Road Runner, I laugh myself silly.
The other one is Asterix. Asterix was the first comic I’ve read, and I remember I also had a videotape with the comic movie. Regarding the new film versions with real actors, I prefer the first two movies from 1999 and 2002.
Of course, Obelix is my favorite figure. Since then, I have identified with that figure because of our typical clumsiness.
When reading or watching Asterix more closely, one can notice many hidden messages about freedom and independence.
