Do you or your family make any special dishes for the holidays?

Cooking special dishes for holidays like Christmas? Not really. On this day, my mother makes one of the regular Sunday dishes. Nothing special, only stuffed and rolled roast beef and, as a side dish, potatoes, braised cabbage, and garden salad.

Speaking of holidays, especially Christmas, which has become the most materialistic holiday on earth. Almost the majority of the earthlings only think about what presents to buy, where to go for the Christmas holiday, or what to cook. Instead, how about looking inside ourselves and thinking deeply about Christmas’s true meaning and symbol? How about re-reading the circumstances and the reasons Jesus Christ was born? If we look at his teachings, we will soon realize that how we celebrate Christmas nowadays is totally contrary to what he taught.

So, instead of thinking about the Christmas recipe, browsing a holiday magazine or Tiffany’s website, let’s look inside the Bible. For those who are not Christians, in a spiritual book or other holy scripture. It will do it also since, for the most part, they convey identical ideas and philosophies.
