Tricky Task

How do you manage screen time for yourself?

My screen time management—well, it’s pretty tricky and challenging to stay completely away from screens in modern times. Except you go to a faraway place, maybe an Island with no Wi-Fi and, best of all, no electricity.

Personally, regarding television screen time, I do not watch much TV; I only watch the news in the daytime, and in the evening, one hour before I go to bed, I watch something on Netflix. Watching TV in the evening makes me sleepy.

When it comes to Laptops/Computers and Smartphones, I spend a respectable amount of screen time since I write a lot during the day and do my research online for my stories. Furthermore, I read a lot of interesting articles on WordPress, Medium, and Substack.

Of course, I take efficient breaks in between by meditating, going outside in the garden, and playing with my dog.

As mentioned above, as technology has progressed and intruded on our working and personal space or lives, it’s tough to stay away from screens for an extended period.

Actually, I’m not very fond and proud of this development because I believe that in previous years, before that immense technological progress, people were closer and generally had essential and meaningful discussions and exchanges.

In the future, I will do my best to reduce my screen time.
