What food would you say is your specialty?
If I remember well, there was a similar question, and I mentioned that making brioche bread was my specialty.
Another one is cheesecake, but it is the authentic German cheesecake. It is made with short-crust pastry, quark, whipping cream, and sour cream and baked in the oven.
Quark gives this cheesecake a unique taste, and it’s hard to find in a non-German market. Even in Germany, buying it is expensive; you can make a quark alone, but it is time-consuming.
I live in Greece, so I can’t buy quark here. Therefore, I found a way to create this unique quark taste by combining two ingredients: 400 gr Philadelphia cheese cream and 200 gr Greek strained yogurt. Then I follow the rest of the recipe, and Tada, I have my German cheesecake.
As you can read, I’m more specialized in baking than in cooking. It isn’t that I can’t cook; I cook, but I enjoy baking more than cooking.
