Wide Horizons

Why do you blog?

Why do I blog? A justified question since we are blogging her every day.

I blog because it gives me the chance to write more alongside my other writing projects. What makes it more intriguing is that every day brings another topic to be answered—themes you might have never thought about, and on that occasion, you begin to think more deeply and thoroughly about it. And who knows, you may discover another hobby or field you wish to engage in. But, firstly, of course, you can release your inner thoughts and concerns about yourself, the people surrounding you, and generally about life and what is happening in the world, and share them with others all around the world. Sometimes, some things are easier to share with strangers than with close friends and relatives.

Another pro of blogging is that it allows you to hear or read different opinions about specific topics and various views from various backgrounds and cultures. This kind of engrossment can positively widen your horizons.

And as I’ve read somewhere that Michael S. Whyatt once said, I think that’s true: „The more you write, the better you get.”

The great Ursula K. LeGuin said, “If you want to be a writer, write!” I wrote a thousand words a day for about a year, and was astonished at the difference afterward. 👌
