The 90s

What TV shows did you watch as a kid?

That’s a delightful and melancholic question, and I like these kinds of questions. They allow us to travel back in time and remember our carefree times.

Speaking of myself, I love this period of my life; when I look back now, I have to recognize that I was lucky to have primarily an easy-going youth.

Back to the question of what TV Shows I watched, some of them you might find that I was too young to watch, but I have to mention that I was premature for my age. This might be because I’m the youngest, and I have a 9—and 11-year age gap with my two other siblings. So, for that, I was a little bit influenced by them.

Let’s go to my list:

-Alf, I loved the jokes of the hairy Alien.

-Baywatch, David Hasselhoff at his peak.

-Remington Steele, I have to remark that I didn’t watch the first broadcast; I was really too young for that. But Pierce Brosnan is a very charming guy, no matter how old you are.

-Little House on the Prairie: I think I can say that many generations grew up watching this show. It’s an all-time classic and has educational value.

-Friends, this show accompanied me from my teenage years until adulthood. Who didn’t burn with curiosity about what would happen next with Ross and Rachel? However, my favorite character was Chandler; his jokes were incomparable.

-Beverly Hills, 90210, I watched it during the heart of my teenage years.

-Melrose Place is almost the same story as Beverly Hills, but the difference is that the characters were older and faced career-related hardships, but their relationship troubles were nearly the same.

-ER was the first hospital show I didn’t want to miss one episode of. Of course, the reason was George Clooney, Dr. Ross, and then nurse Carol.

-Grey’s Anatomy, ER had its final a long time ago, and I wanted to watch another hospital series, so Grey’s Anatomy was the best option. Who didn’t fall in love with Dr. McDreamy and the love story between him and Meredith? I stopped watching the show when McDreamy died.

-The Nanny, it was the Butler. I loved his humor.

Looking at my list now, I think I watched too much TV. 🥴🤔

Anyway, it’s too late to change that now.😊😉

What a fantastic list! ALF was my absolute favorite, and throughout high school, everyone knew me as ALF. I hope it wasn’t because of my appearance! 😂 Actually, I used to write “ALF” on the chalkboard in every class as a way to represent “Always Love Frances,” referring to my high school sweetheart and now my wife. I might have been a bit of a dork and a nerd, but it worked out well for me—I ended up with the girl! 😂 One thing’s for sure: they just don’t make TV shows like they did back in the ’80s and ’90s anymore.

A lovely funny story, and how sweet and lucky you ended up with your school sweetheart. Yes, you are right. Most of the TV shows are average compared to the shows of the 90s. Same happens in the music industry.
