Create an emergency preparedness plan.
It’s beneficial to be prepared for unexpected events, like an emergency plan, especially these famous Plan Bs.
So far, I can call myself lucky as I haven’t found myself in an uncomfortable position or emergency.
But what steps will I follow when it happens one day? First of all, I think it’s a good idea to have all important documents, such as passports, ID cards, and bank account papers, together in one box. So you have quick access before you go on the run in case of a fire or any catastrophic weather event.
If I can stay home, the next step is to have enough food and water to drink. (A bottle of Scotch wouldn’t also be bad.) Otherwise, if I must flee from home, my car should be waiting for me fully tanked.
Of course, the most important thing today is constantly being reachable and reaching out to others. This means grabbing your smartphone before you start running. Moreover, I think having a full battery on my smartphone would also be a good idea, and not to forget to take the smartphone adapter with me.
On the other hand, thinking about it more thoroughly, I think being caught in such a stressful situation about death and life, is it possible at that moment to think clearly and follow all the steps one by one?
