He sailed over vast seas
to fight harsh battles
and the most glorious in Troy.
His pride and smartness
his fatal disease
caused him
a punishment of the Gods
to roam for twenty years
until allowed
to find back home
to his kingdom,
alone,
only to find his beloved
Penelope
surrounded by 108 suitors
who matched more to traitors.
But his cleverness raised again
this time, luck laid herein,
with a simple trick.
None of the wooers
could string
his famous bow
nor shoot the arrow
through 12 axes
except one,
a vagabond
who luckily accomplished
our hero’s cunning plan
and unveiled himself
in front of them.
His welcome
was a bloody one,
but our hero Odysseus
finally,
was back home.
