Trust in Gut

What gives you direction in life?

My good nose shows me the right direction. Joking aside.

A long time ago, I took a personality test, and the result was that I’m a Mediator (INFP). This means my personality has introverted, intuitive, feeling, and prospecting traits. I also tested my Emotional Intelligence and here was the result that I am the Intuitive type.

I can only agree with both tests and their result. When it came to big decisions, in more minor or every day life decisions, first I weighed the options, considered the positives and the negatives aspects, asked for the opinion of my parents. But, and here it is, when the time came to take a final decision I always followed and trusted my gut feeling.

Sometimes, this gut feeling put me on a rough road, but while walking through this road, I realized it was when I learned the most in life.

That’s why I continue to trust in my inner feelings and enjoy all the various moments in life it has to offer me, including the hard ones, the unhappy ones, and the happy ones. Life is a beautiful journey with ups and downs.

Our science has realized that the body “thinks” with every one of its organs, with the gut hosting a lion’s share of the specialized cells involved in that process. 👌
