Describe a risk you took that you do not regret.
There are a many times a took a risk and I didn’t regret it, but I will focus on this one:
I was 13-14 when I went on a day trip with my traditional dance club to the amusement park Europa Park in Rust, Germany. (It’s close to the border with France.) Many participants were on this trip, so we split into small groups, around 8 people per group.
Europa Park has many attractions, like Monorail Iceland, The Atlantic SuperSplash, etc. However, one attraction was and is also the emblem and trademark of Europa Park: the Eurosat Roller Coaster in the shape of a globe. It is 37 m high, and at that time, it had as its theme aerospace, with Spaceshuttle artifact and blinking stars; inside the globe, it was very dark. I still remember there was a warning at the entrance that people with health issues shouldn’t take that ride. This, of course, scared me a lot, so I wasn’t sure if I should participate, but the rest of the group was excited. Under these circumstances, I was compelled to take the risk, as I didn’t want to miss being part of the group.
I can’t remember how long the roller coaster ride lasted, but they were scary minutes, with a lot of shouting in the dark aerospace of the globe. However, the feeling afterward was great, giving me a boost of adrenalin. What this ride taught me is to be confident and that it is worth overcoming fears and taking risks.
